Hamamelis × intermedia 'Early Bird' is a deciduous witch hazel prized for its very early yellow blooms, often appearing in late fall to early winter before most other varieties. The fragrant, ribbon-like flowers add vibrant color to the winter landscape, while its green foliage turns shades of golden-yellow to orange in autumn. With a broad, vase-shaped habit, it grows to about 8–10 ft tall and wide in 10 years. 'Early Bird' is low-maintenance and an excellent choice for adding seasonal interest to gardens.
