'Confucius’ is a small growing Hinoki cypress with golden foliage and dark brown trunks on mature trees. This provides great contrast. ‘Confucius’ may reach 4-5 ft in 10 years. Originating in New Zealand at Duncan and Davies Nursery, this selection was sold under the misspelling ‘Confucious’ but is now recognized under the correct spelling.
