Cercis canadensis 'Hearts of Gold' is a unique and striking variety of the Eastern Redbud tree. It is known for its vibrant golden-yellow heart-shaped foliage, which emerges in the spring and stays bright through summer. In early spring, it produces small pinkish-purple flowers directly on its branches, before the leaves appear. This variety typically grows to a height of around 12-15 ft with a similar spread, in about 10 years. It prefers full sun to partial shade.

These quarts have been recently cut back to about 2 ft in height.
