'Ookisha' Full Moon Japanese Maple

'Ookisha' is a new full moon selection from Dick van der Maat in Holland. The large foliage is exceptional. The pubescent new growth makes me wonder if it may actually be sieboldianum or a sieboldianum hybrid. Either way this full moon maple is exceptionally beautiful. The fall color is spectacular too with bright yellows to bright reds. We would expect 'Ookisha' to reach 12-15 ft in 10 years.
