Apollo® Sugar Maple is a narrow, columnar selection of Sugar Maple prized for its dense branching and compact habit, making it ideal for tight urban and residential spaces where a traditional Sugar Maple would outgrow its setting. In 10 years, it typically reaches about 20–25 ft tall and 8–10 ft wide, maintaining a refined, upright form. Its dark green foliage handles summer heat well before turning a brilliant mix of fall color when planted in full sun. Adaptable to most soils, including slightly alkaline sites, it prefers well-drained conditions and should be kept out of compacted or salt-exposed areas. As a semi-dwarf cultivar, it grows at a moderate pace and is better suited for vertical interest, screening, or tall hedging rather than broad shade coverage.
