Abies koreana 'Alpine Star' Korean Fir

Abies koreana 'Alpine Star' Korean Fir

Abies koreana 'Alpine Star'
Dwarf Korean Fir

Zones 4-8

Abies koreana 'Alpine Star' is a charming dwarf Korean fir known for its exceptionally slow growth, adding only 2–6 cm per year and forming a dense, compact pyramidal shape. Reaching approximately 2 ft tall and wide at maturity, it is an excellent choice for rock gardens, containers, and other small landscape spaces. Its short, tightly packed needles display glossy dark green tops with brilliant silver-white undersides, creating a striking two-tone effect throughout the year. In winter, bright white buds emerge at the tips of the branches, giving the tree a star-like appearance that inspired its name. 'Alpine Star' thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers rich, acidic, well-drained soil with consistent moisture, making it a beautiful and low-maintenance specimen for cooler climates.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of woody ornamentals, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the woody ornamentals you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
